As the demand to deliver exceptional engineering design from our clients continues to grow, an opportunity has arisen for a Electrical Design Engineer – Distribution Projects (Up to 33kV).
Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with expertise in power distribution projects? We’re looking for a skilled professional to join our team, working on systems up to 33kV.
What You Will Do
- Design and specification of switchgear and transformers for distribution networks.
- Protection system specification, ensuring reliability and compliance with industry standards.
- Cabling and infrastructure design for efficient power transmission.
- Electrical system analysis and modelling using ETAP software.
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to develop optimized solutions.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in electrical distribution design up to 33kV, for clients including SSE Distribution, UKPN, ENWL, NGED, Sellafield, QinetiQ.
- Expertise in ETAP switchgear specification, transformer selection, and protection systems is preferable, but not essential.
- Proficiency in cabling and infrastructure design.
- Ideally suited for a HV Distribution Design Engineer or a Building services engineer with relevant design experience.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
