As the demand to deliver exceptional engineering design from our clients continues to grow, an opportunity has arisen for a Electrical Design Engineer – Distribution Projects (Up to 33kV).
 
Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with expertise in power distribution projects? We’re looking for a skilled professional to join our team, working on systems up to 33kV.
 
What You Will Do
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and specification of switchgear and transformers for distribution networks.
  • Protection system specification, ensuring reliability and compliance with industry standards.
  • Cabling and infrastructure design for efficient power transmission.
  • Electrical system analysis and modelling using ETAP software.
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to develop optimized solutions.
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Strong experience in electrical distribution design up to 33kV, for clients including SSE Distribution, UKPN, ENWL, NGED, Sellafield, QinetiQ.
  • Expertise in ETAP switchgear specification, transformer selection, and protection systems is preferable, but not essential.
  • Proficiency in cabling and infrastructure design.
  • Ideally suited for a HV Distribution Design Engineer or a Building services engineer with relevant design experience.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
