What you’ll be doing:
As a Project Manager Level 1, you’ll be responsible for delivering projects to the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. You’ll lead site operations, manage contracts, and ensure that every aspect of the project aligns with our Perfect Delivery principles.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing all aspects of the contract to a successful conclusion
- Leading site teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality
- Building strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and the public
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance
- Monitoring project performance and proactively managing risks and opportunities
- Promoting innovation and knowledge sharing across teams and suppliers
What we’re looking for:
- Degree-level education or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Civil Engineering background preferred but not essential.
- Chartered membership of a professional institution (desirable)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent planning, organisation, and time management abilities
- Sound knowledge of the construction industry and relevant standards
- Ability to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders
- A proactive, results-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality and safety
About the project:
Springfields Fuel Limited – RepU Project (Springfield Site, Preston)
The current Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) contract for the RepU project at the Springfield site is valued at approximately £1.7 million. The scope during this phase is primarily to provide constructability input into the design and to plan/ co-ordinate the site mobilisation works. There is potential for this to transition into a full Design & Build (D&B) contract for a major infrastructure project, with an estimated total value of around £800 million over a six-year period.
