We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Site Engineer to join our team on the A52 Nottingham Cycleway Framework, supporting the delivery of a range of exciting schemes. Role Responsibilities
Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is seeking a skilled and motivated Site Engineer to join our Highways team, supporting the delivery of complex civil engineering projects across the UK. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical capabilities, a proactive mindset, and a passion for delivering high-quality infrastructure.
You’ll be responsible for day-to-day surveying, setting out, and site engineering duties, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You’ll work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain progress and compliance across all aspects of site operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out surveying and setting out of engineering and building works.
- Ensure quality control requirements are met and documented.
- Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Plan and schedule work to meet project deadlines.
- Attend progress meetings and provide updates to section engineers and agents.
- Supervise site labour and subcontractors to ensure work meets client expectations.
- Resolve technical issues and unexpected challenges on site.
- Manage material requisitions and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Support digital engineering coordination and land survey/mapping tasks.
- Assist with construction quantity computations and as-built documentation.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Relevant industry qualification (HND/HNC/BEng in Civil Engineering or related field).
- Valid CSCS card and 5-day safety qualification.
- Experience in site supervision and setting out.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, health & safety, and regulations.
- Proficient in the use of robotic total station instruments.
- Experience in setting out earthworks and structures.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and bill of quantities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Our Water team designs, builds, and maintains vital UK water infrastructure, ensuring secure water supply and wastewater services.

Currently, we participate in the Welsh Water AMP7 and AMP8 frameworks and have secured projects with Wessex Water for the next five years.
