The Role:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Social Value Manager to lead the development and delivery of social value strategies across our GGP projects, starting with TKRE. This role is pivotal in shaping how we deliver meaningful, measurable impact to communities through our work with National Grid, a £1Bn+ framework spanning over 10 years.

As Social Value becomes increasingly embedded in procurement and commercial performance, this role offers the opportunity to influence innovation, efficiency, and stakeholder engagement at a strategic level.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead stakeholder engagement and management across internal and external partners.
  • Develop co-created social value plans aligned with project and community needs.
  • Deliver key social value activities, ensuring alignment with supply chain commitments.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on social value outcomes and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with project teams to embed social value into core delivery.
  • Support the evolution of our social value offering across the GGP Integrator framework.

What we’re looking for:

  • Essential: Demonstrable experience delivering social value in infrastructure, energy, or related sectors.
  • Desirable: Experience in managing teams or leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of social, economic, and environmental impact measurement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work strategically while managing operational delivery.

About our Energy business unit

We have extensive experience in upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators.

Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground. Within the electricity sector we install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying and jointing of cables, (fluid filled and XLPe), substations and overhead line, new build, repair and refurbishment services.
