Senior Project Manager 

Cumbria 

Position Summary

As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering projects to the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. You’ll lead site operations, manage contracts, and ensure that every aspect of the project aligns with our principles. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing all aspects of the contract to a successful conclusion 
  • Leading site teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality 
  • Drive project planning, execution and reporting, ensuring alignment with client objectives and Nuclear Safety Standards.
  • Provide leadership, direction and mentoring/coaching to the project team including Delivery Partners, fostering a culture of trust, safety, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Building strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and the supply chain
  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance 
  • Monitoring and reporting project performance and proactively managing risks and opportunities 
  • Promoting innovation and knowledge sharing across teams and suppliers 

Skills & Qualifications

·       Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager / Project Manager delivering major projects within the Nuclear or other highly regulated industries (defence, energy or infrastructure) is desirable.

·       MEICA Engineering background preferred but not essential. 

·       Strong background working as a management contractor with experience representing the clients interest.

·       CSCS card holder 

·       Chartered membership of a professional institution (desirable) 

·       Strong leadership and team management skills 

·       Excellent planning, organisation, and time management abilities 

·       Sound knowledge of the construction industry and relevant standards 

·       In-depth understanding of project/construction management, contract administration (NEC preferred) and project controls.

·       Ability to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders 

·       A proactive, results-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality and safety

·       Able to achieve Security Clearance
