Site Engineer

We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Site Engineer to join our Energy team on the TKRE (Tilbury to Grain Reconductoring) project, supporting the delivery of a range of exciting schemes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to further develop their skills and take on increasing levels of responsibility.
Role Responsibilities
- Set out engineering and building works across company sites.
- Ensure and record quality control per specifications.
- Promote high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Plan, schedule, and organise site work to meet deadlines.
- Supervise site labour and subcontractors to meet customer expectations.
- Oversee site safety and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Select and requisition specified construction materials.
- Maintain materials and suggest cost-effective improvements.
- Prepare and submit completion paperwork for client approval.
- Comply with company health, safety, and environmental systems.
- Take care of personal and team health and safety.
- Uphold company quality standards.
- Manage and coordinate digital engineering data.
- Conduct land surveys and produce drawings while assisting with digital quantity calculations for tenders.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Industry qualification (HND, HNC, or BEng).
- Valid CSCS card and 5-day safety certification.
- Site supervision experience on construction projects and standards.
- Skilled in setting out and levelling with strong knowledge of construction methods, safety, and regulations.
- Proficient with robotic total station instruments.
- Confident in setting out earthworks and structures.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Understanding of bill of quantities.

About the Energy Business Unit
We have extensive experience in upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators.
Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground. Within the electricity sector we install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying, and jointing of cables, (fluid filled and XLPe), substations and overhead line, new build, repair, and refurbishment services.
