We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Planning Manager to join our team on the GGP framework including TKRE, SCRE and future OHL onshore projects (FSu1, CMN3). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to further develop their skills and take on increasing levels of responsibility.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all planning and scheduling activities across the programme.
- Develop, maintain, and report on project schedules, progress, and performance metrics.
- Drive effective risk and change management, ensuring impacts are accurately reflected in the baseline plan.
- Provide strategic insight and planning support to project leadership and client teams.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, suppliers, and partners to align planning information and ensure seamless project integration.
- Mentor and develop junior planners, fostering capability growth and consistency across the planning function.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Proven record in delivering large-scale or complex infrastructure schemes.
- Effective communication skills, with experience engaging diverse stakeholders and presenting clear, data-driven insights.
- Demonstrable ability to manage projects with multiple constraints and stakeholder interests.
- In-depth understanding of programme controls, project review processes, cost management, and risk analysis
- Awareness of how commercial activities (e.g., procurement, contractual changes) impact the baseline programme.
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience

About the Energy Business Unit
We have extensive experience in upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators.
Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground. Within the electricity sector we install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying, and jointing of cables, (fluid filled and XLPe), substations and overhead line, new build, repair, and refurbishment services.
