We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Senior Project Manager to join our Business IT team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to further develop their skills and take on increasing levels of responsibility.
Role Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the business to develop robust business cases, including clear objectives, defined benefits, and resource commitments.
- Assist in defining project scope and objectives, engaging all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Estimate resource requirements to achieve project goals and secure availability and allocation.
- Support the creation of business case proposals for budget approval.
- Ensure all projects are logged and progressed through the agreed project initiation and delivery processes.
- Maintain a clear focus on project outcomes and enable business ownership, ensuring benefits (both tangible and intangible) are measurable.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering business improvement and IT projects.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills to drive project delivery to schedule.
- Knowledge of project delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Hybrid, Agile).
- Understanding of project team structures, roles, and responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and persuade.
- Proven experience in relationship management with executive and senior stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation and diplomacy skills; ability to present sound business cases.
- Problem-solving mindset; calm and positive under pressure.
- Effective management skills with the ability to motivate teams and ensure compliance.
- Comfortable collaborating with analysts and clients for requirements gathering and prioritisation.
- Ability to work with technology specialists; pragmatic and customer-focused approach.
- Current Project Management qualification.
- Awareness of IT market trends and curiosity about people and skills development.
- Desirable: Experience in a similar role within an infrastructure environment.
