We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Training Coordinator to join our team, supporting the delivery of a range of exciting schemes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to further develop their skills and take on increasing levels of responsibility.
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver development and training services to projects and business units.
- Contribute to company-wide training and development solutions.
- Analyse project, corporate, and individual training needs with relevant managers.
- Identify employee skill gaps and competency requirements.
- Maintain and update the Competency Management System (CMS).
- Manage project training budgets where applicable.
- Suggest improvements to systems and processes.
- Prepare and maintain training plans using development conversations and competency matrices.
- Book training courses, source providers and venues, and prepare joining instructions.
- Understand available programmes and advise on their use within the business unit.
- Produce reports and data for projects, training managers, and L&D teams.
- Record qualifications and higher learning achievements (e.g., degrees, NVQs)
- Run and distribute training reports and surveys as needed.
- Create quarterly training renewal reports and coordinate with staff and managers.
- Build strong relationships with staff through approachability and expertise.
- Evaluate and select new training suppliers to meet MS standards.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Good standard of education (GCSE or NVQ Level 2).
- Previous training coordination experience (desirable).
- Effective communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Persuasive and influential with strong relationship-building skills.

About the Energy Business Unit
We have extensive experience in upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators.
Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground. Within the electricity sector we install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying, and jointing of cables, (fluid filled and XLPe), substations and overhead line, new build, repair, and refurbishment services.
