We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Foreman to join our team on the Penrhos Substation project, supporting the delivery of a range of exciting schemes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to further develop their skills and take on increasing levels of responsibility.
Role Responsibilities
- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the site.
- Ensure adherence to relevant policies and procedures.
- Control and monitor all activities on site.
- Support the achievement of perfect delivery.
- In conjunction with the project manager, project engineer and construction manager plan and review overall status of project(s) on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure all site resource (labour, machinery, materials, sub-contractors) are effectively utilised and monitored to achieve timely completion of projects.
- Deliver toolbox talks and daily task briefings.
- Upon completion of task, ensure all appropriate hired in plant and equipment is promptly off hired.
- Ensure the project manager is promptly provided with any relevant documentation received from either the customer or authorities Identify and record any variations to the contract, ensuring the project manager / construction manager is promptly notified.

- Ability to work in a team environment contributing across a project, site, or area.
- Good supervision skills, with the ability to motivate self and small teams to perform specific tasks.
- Good planning and time management skills
- Ability to contribute to meeting standards and specifications.
- EHV Electric Substation experience required.
- SPEN competencies beneficial
- Civil Engineering experience - FRC, Drainage, ducting, earthworks etc

About the Energy Business Unit
We have extensive experience in upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators.
Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground. Within the electricity sector we install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying, and jointing of cables, (fluid filled and XLPe), substations and overhead line, new build, repair, and refurbishment services.
