  • Provide coordination and leadership within the business unit SHEQ function.
  • Report accurately and effectively on SHEQ performance and key metrics.
  • Support and mentor less experienced SHEQ team members, promoting shared learning and best practice.
  • Lead or support accident and incident investigations to determine root causes and identify lessons learned.
  • Function as a key point of contact for client, supply chain, and stakeholder engagement on SHE matters.
  • Champion a positive culture of safety, wellbeing, and sustainability across all operations.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate (minimum recognised SHE qualification).
  • Valid UK driving licence (site‑based role requiring travel).
  • Proven experience working within a heavily regulated sector, such as energy transmission.
  • Experience on infrastructure or heavy civil engineering projects.
  • Proactive, solutions‑focused approach to problem solving.
  • Experience leading or contributing to incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Confident in constructively challenging others to uphold safety standards.
  • Enthusiastic about adopting best practice and promoting shared learning across teams.
  • Experience engaging directly with clients, supply chain partners, and other stakeholders.
