We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Information Manager to join our team on the Harburn / CMN3 Framework, supporting the delivery of a diverse portfolio of exciting schemes. The role plays a key part in supporting a digitally led approach to project delivery, embedding effective digital and BIM‑enabled information practices throughout the project lifecycle. You will work collaboratively with project teams, quality functions and the supply chain to promote efficient, coordinated ways of working and maintain robust information governance. The focus is on enabling adoption, improving delivery efficiency, and supporting compliance within a structured digital environment.
Role Responsibilities
The successful candidate will support the Project Manager in the effective control, management, and assurance of project information, playing a key role in the delivery of digital engineering and information management outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager with the control and governance of project information.
- Manage and operate Document Control and Integrated Management System (IMS) functions.
- Take ownership for the delivery of specific tasks, goals, and objectives in line with project requirements.
- Work under general direction, escalating significant decisions as required, while operating effectively without day‑to‑day supervision.
- Proactively deliver defined tasks to an agreed industry standard and within required timeframes.
- Be accountable for the performance and outputs of a small team.
- Write, maintain, and manage the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) throughout the full lifecycle of the project.
- Quality check models, documents, and data entries to ensure compliance with agreed standards and procedures.
- Support and implement the project or programme level Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP).
- Coordinate and align scheme‑level Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDPs).
- Define and implement information delivery and process requirements for project teams and the supply chain.
- Establish information delivery requirements through collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key digital stakeholders and suppliers across the business.
- Engage with management systems teams and the wider supply chain to ensure alignment with project information objectives.
- Support the adoption and consistent application of digital engineering processes across all parties.
- Lead model coordination and interrogation activities, ensuring models integrate effectively and are federated where required.
- Maintain the master model and ensure ongoing interoperability of information.
- Undertake clash detection, quality assurance checks, and data conversion activities.
- Actively review models to identify scope gaps, process inefficiencies, and risks.
- Produce visual outputs from models to support project teams and proactively highlight issues.
- Site Integration & Data Management
- Pilot, implement and support site data and quality collection systems on projects.
- Connect digital engineering processes with site activities to drive adoption, execution, and value delivery.
- Capture, extract, analyse and report key data from models, site records, and project information environments.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Essential Skills & Knowledge
- Sound understanding of Quality Management Systems and their application within project environments.
- Knowledge of digital handover processes and information delivery requirements.
- Working knowledge of BS 1192 / PAS 1192 and ISO 19650 standards.
- Practical experience using Autodesk Revit or Civil 3D.
- Experience working with Autodesk Navisworks for model review and coordination.
- Strong understanding of industry practices, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to apply detailed technical knowledge within a chosen specialism.
Beneficial / Desirable Experience
- Experience working with Common Data Environments (CDEs) such as:
- ProjectWise
- Viewpoint for Projects
- Business Collaborator
- BIM 360
- Use of Autodesk Navisworks Manage and Autodesk ReCap.
- Experience with other CAD, BIM or planning tools, including (but not limited to):
- Asta Powerproject
- Synchro
- Experience using Power BI for data analysis and reporting would be advantageous.

About the Energy Business Unit
We have extensive experience in upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators.
Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground. Within the electricity sector we install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying, and jointing of cables, (fluid filled and XLPe), substations and overhead line, new build, repair, and refurbishment services.
