Kent
Talented people are the key to our success
We’re excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Senior Planner to join a major National Grid Sealink project in Kent, valued at circa £95m. Delivered through the GGP framework, this scheme will play a key role in increasing transmission capacity and supporting new energy connections, initially through ECI before progressing into delivery.
Working under the guidance of the MSI Offshore Planning Manager, you’ll provide critical planning support across the project lifecycle, ensuring programmes are robust, compliant, and aligned with delivery objectives. This role offers the chance to be part of a growing sector with a long-term pipeline of work, contributing to nationally significant infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing, maintaining and monitoring integrated project programmes using Primavera P6
- Producing and managing programmes aligned with ITT requirements, design, cost, assurance and methodology
- Providing detailed critical path analysis, identifying pinch points and proposing solutions to mitigate delays
- Delivering programme updates, reports and commentary to both internal teams and external stakeholders
- Supporting project teams with planning insights, reporting (EVM), and performance tracking
- Attending and presenting at progress meetings, ensuring clear communication of project status
- Formally issuing programme updates in line with contractual requirements (NEC3/4)
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in a Senior Planner or Project Controls role within infrastructure or energy
- Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6, EVM, and NEC3/4 contracts
- Experience working within ECI and design programme environments
- Demonstrable site-based planning and project controls experience
- Familiarity with tools such as GIS and Aphex (desirable)
- Degree-qualified, with APM accreditation or Chartered Engineer status preferred
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a high-profile National Grid project, with exposure to complex programme delivery and the chance to develop your career within a long-term, expanding energy portfolio.
