We are seeking a motivated and ambitious SHE Advisor to join our Scotland Energy team, supporting the delivery of key schemes including CMN3 and Harburn for our SPT client. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of major energy infrastructure projects while developing your skills and taking on increasing responsibility.
You will play a vital role in embedding a positive safety culture across site operations, working closely with project teams to ensure the highest standards of safety, health, environment, and wellbeing.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, advice, and support to project teams on all SHE matters.
- Embed and champion Morgan Sindall’s Protecting People Commitment across projects.
- Ensure compliance with SHE legislation, industry standards, and company procedures.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities and promote best practice.
- Support and guide management teams, employees, and supply chain partners.
- Coordinate and contribute to the wider SHEQ function within the business unit.
- Accurately report on SHEQ performance and key metrics
- Support and mentor less experienced members of the SHEQ team.
- Lead or assist with accident and incident investigations, identifying root causes and lessons learned.
- Function as a key point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and supply chain partners on SHE matters.
- Champion a strong culture of safety, wellbeing, and sustainability across all activities
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Proven experience working within a regulated sector, ideally energy transmission.
- Experience on infrastructure or heavy civil engineering projects
- Strong knowledge of SHE principles, legislation, and industry best practice
- Experience leading or supporting incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Initiative-taking and solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
- Confidence to challenge behaviours constructively to uphold safety standards.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills across project teams, clients, and supply chain
- Passion for continuous improvement, best practice, and knowledge sharing
- Holds IOSH or equivalent

About the Energy Business Unit
We have extensive experience in upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators.
Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground. Within the electricity sector we install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying, and jointing of cables, (fluid filled and XLPe), substations and overhead line, new build, repair, and refurbishment services.
