A bit about what you'll be doing
This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring Planner to further develop their skills within a collaborative and experienced planning team. Supporting both our pre-construction and project delivery functions, you'll be involved in producing tender programmes, developing construction schedules and providing planning support across a diverse portfolio of fit-out projects ranging from £250k to £25m.
You will take ownership of programme development and maintenance, helping to ensure that project timelines are robust, realistic and aligned with client expectations. The variety of projects and stakeholders you'll work with means no two days are the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
As your experience grows, you'll have opportunities to support tender presentations, research emerging planning technologies and software, and contribute to early-stage project planning discussions with clients and internal teams. You'll benefit from ongoing mentoring and development, learning directly from experienced planning professionals while building your own career within the business.
Experience of using ASTA Powerproject is essential.
About You
We're looking for someone who is eager to develop their planning career and can bring the following experience, skills and attributes:
- Around 8-10 years' planning experience within the construction industry, ideally within the commercial fit-out sector.
- A good understanding of Shell & Core, Cat A and Cat B projects and associated delivery programmes.
- Experience supporting both single-stage and two-stage tender processes.
- Proficiency in ASTA Powerproject or similar construction planning software.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work collaboratively with pre-construction, commercial and operational teams.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn from experienced planners and colleagues.
- An interest in client engagement and the ability to support tender interviews and presentations, with training and development provided where required.
- Flexible, organised and able to manage multiple priorities across a varied project portfolio.
This role would suit someone looking to broaden their experience, work on high-profile projects and develop their career within one of the UK's leading fit-out businesses.
And in return…
We offer a market leading salary, bonus and one of the best benefits package in the industry, including:
25 days’ holiday (plus Bank Holidays and Christmas closure)
An excellent working environment, with the chance to network and meet likeminded people
